Going to be a busy weekend. Looks like the rain is about gone. I’m glad that the weatherman was wrong. The only bad thing is that Monday is just around the corner. lol

It’s been a rainy, dreary day here in the deep south. Expecting rain the rest of the week. We may have a decent weekend but that could change. Oh well, can’t have everything. At least it’s not freezing rain or snowing.
First day back to work since the time change. I made it ok with no problems. I’m actually looking forward to getting the rest of the week behind me and get to the weekend. I’ve got an opportunity to teach at a college on Saturday afternoon and I’ve got a meeting to attend to on Sunday. Not much of down time but at least I’ll get out of the house for a while both days.
Pictured above is queen bee, Sophie. She thinks the runs this house. She’s spoiled rotten and I must admit I’ve made her that way. She follows me to the bathroom every morning just so that I can turn the water on in the sink so she can get a drink of water. She does this too in the evenings as I’m getting ready for bed. She doesn’t do this to anyone else but me. She’s my sweet little girl.

Stayed home today to try to get over this crud. Between the meds, the shots and the rest it looks like I’ll feel like going to work tomorrow. I really didn’t need to take off today but with me running a fever most of the night I really couldn’t afford to go to work.
I took this a few years ago (since I’m running out of material and being that I’ve been stuck at home). This is at a local steam plant that is not to far from me. I’ve always admired these cooling towers because they remind me so much of the nuclear cooling towers we’re so familiar with.
I was out on a motorcycle ride and since I could see the towers off in the distance I decided to ride out there and take a few pictures. I stopped several times near the plant and got a few and decided to got to the front entrance and get a few much closer shots. I hadn’t been there just a few minutes with my camera out when this security guard came out and told me to put the camera away. It wasn’t long thereafter when two deputy sheriff’s came pulling up to the scene. I guess they thought I was some kind of terrorist. An hour and a half later and after convincing these sherrif’s that I wasn’t their enemy I was free to go. I’m really surprised they didn’t ask me to delete the images I took. They didn’t even ask me about them and I wasn’t going to ask.

I was stood up. It’s just as well. I didn’t really feel like doing a shoot today anyway. I haven’t heard from her nor will I call or email her to find out why. I’ll just leave it alone. I went straight to the doctor to be diagnosed with Bronchitis. I’m running a fever of 101 and I don’t feel very well. I”ll have to take another day off but maybe I”ll feel better by Tuesday.

It’s official, I’m sick. Didn’t go to the doctor which I guess I should have but I’ve got enough prescription drugs to cure just about anything. If I’m not any better by Monday I’ll go after work. I’ve got a photo shoot tomorrow which we’ve had to postpone several times due to weather and other events so I’m going to try to make it so that we won’t have to postpone yet again.

I made it. We all made it to the weekend!! I’m I’m not any better by in the morning then I’ll be making yet another trip to the doctor. I heard today that one of my lunch partners was diagnosed with the Flu yesterday and I sit right next to her on most days. I really hope it’s just another round of the crud and not the Flu.
I’ll be going to bed soon. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!.

It hasn’t been a full week and I’m already coming down with something else. I’ve got chest congestion and I’m coughing. I can not afford to be sick anymore so I’ve got to go to work. Looks like if I can just make it through the day tomorrow I’ll go to the doctor on Saturday. I just hope I can make it through the day tomorrow.
Today was a bust as far as the weather goes. The weather people has been calling for ice and sleet for over a week. My company closed at 10:30 this morning but I stayed until 1:30 when my wife called and told me it was getting bad at the house. By the time I got home it had already quit and the roads were drying out. There may be some frozen spots on the roadway where there were some puddles but that should be it.
Tomorrow is Friday, at least it better be. Going to the doctor on Saturday and hopefully I have a photo shoot scheduled for Sunday. I’m going to really enjoy this weekend as it should be fairly nice outside. Mid to upper 50’s forecasted.

I’m going to be sore in the morning. It’s the first good workout in close to a year. In fact, I may have over did it. I’m still way under what I used to do on the treadmill but I’ve got to start somewhere. I’m really disappointed in myself for getting back into the same old routine and not exercising like I should. I’ve gained 35 lbs that I’ve already lost once and that really makes me mad. Maybe this time around I’ll stick to it and make the changes permanently. It is a lifestyle change, not just a diet.

Expecting thunderstorms tomorrow with the temperatures falling tomorrow night with sleet and ice on the way. What weird weather we’re having. I’ll be glad when spring is finally here and no more winter precipitation.

This is me about two years ago. I’ve since gained some of my weight back being that my boss didn’t think I could make in to work in time if I got called in while on a bike ride. Now that I’m no longer on call I don’t have to worry about it. I can’t put all the blame on my boss being that I could have done a lot of other things to keep my weight off. Anyway, tonight I started what I hope is a long term workout program. I started slow, only thirty minutes on my treadmill at a slow 2.9 mph and then I got on my bike trainer for 15 minutes doing about 20 mph. I may not have done much but at least it feels like I worked out. I’m looking forward to warmer weather so I can get out and hopefully get back to riding my 20 miles a day.
The photo above was taken after my first 50 miler. I know for a fact that I wouldn’t look that excited if I had to ride that ride today. I’m so out of shape.
