This is my first post on The Cast Iron Black Pot. Over the past few years I have been asked to share what I know about cast iron cooking, maintaining cast iron and even a little about restoration of cast iron.  What better way of doing this than creating a blog to do so.  So, with this blog, I will be posting recipes that I have collected over the past several years, my methods of maintaining cast iron and even show you my method of restoring an old piece of cast iron cookware that maybe your grandmother left you.
