For those that are looking at this piece of machinery thinking “What in the world is this?” I’ts a chiller. It’s what cools our building complex. What you’re looking at is three 750 ton Air Conditioning units. My main job is to see that these bad boys run with out any problems. I have to take readings on these things every day of the work week making sure that the temperature and pressures are correct. Most of the time they run with no issues but when they break down it can get very expensive.

It is an impressive machine. But since the weather here is 10 degrees Fahrenheit today, I’m afraid I’d rather view a post about a heater. Or maybe that machine does both?
Sorry, it’s just really, really cold today, and now that I’m no longer 20, I find it a bit hard to take.
I’m not sure where you live but fortunately we don’t have to deal with temperatures like what you’re dealing with often. Having said that we are expecting a low of 11 degrees come Thursday morning. I don’t handle cold weather well myself so we’re really going to have to bundle up.
Stay warm my friend.
I’m in Buffalo, NY. Actually, today it was a balmy 16 degrees, but will drop to about 5 degrees tomorrow. But then it goes back up, maybe all the way to 20 degrees! March and April seem too far away.
Dress in layers, be sure to wear a nice warm hat, and those hand-warmers that can go inside of gloves or mittens are really nice. Heck, you could put one inside a hat, too.
Buffalo, my wife was born not far from you. She’s from Dunkirk. She reminds me all the time how different it is there from here. In Birmingham, Al, the city shuts down for less than two inches. I know you guys get feet instead on inches there especially with that lake effect snow.
Dunkirk is close. My brother lived in Fredonia for a number of years, another brother lived in Jamestown, and I spent a lot of time two years ago going through Dunkirk/Fredonia to visit my mother when she was in a nursing home in Frewsburg. Small world, isn’t it?
