Company is closed. Schools are closed. Might get called in later but don’t know if I can make it in, depends on how much snow we get. Going to take advantage of being at home with my kids.

sigh – I wish my company would close for snow. It has to be so bad that City Hall closes before we’re allowed a day off, and even then we sometimes have to come in unless there’s a driving ban, because our office in in the northern part of the City. Sometimes if it’s really bad at my house, and City Hall is closed but my office is still open, I just call in sick. And I don’t even feel guilty about it.
I’m really surprised that our company did close. I really think it’s because last year a system came in so fast and the company didn’t close in time and 1700 people were trapped and got stuck at work. Some for over 48 hours. I was one of the lucky ones who made it home. Normally the company tells us to use our best judgement and we have to take a day off if we can’t make it in.
